Description

The PEC Basic-SafeGulf/SafeLand Orientation Train-the-Trainer course allows an instructor to administer the PEC Basic-SafeGulf/SafeLand Orientation course which is a SafeGulf and SafeLand accredited program. The PEC Basis-SafeGulf/SafeLand Orientation course was designed to take the place of multiple Operator orientation courses and to give each student a general idea of life and safety issues in the oil and gas industry - upstream, downstream, onshore, and offshore.

Materials Included:
Each instructor will receive classroom training and the following manuals:

• PEC Basic Orientation Instructor Manual
• PEC Basic Orientation Student Manual
• PEC Basic Orientation Video
• All-in-One Video
• Backdrop for Student Photgraphs
• PowerPoint Presentation and reference material that will support the instruction of the program.

Course Objectives

• To prepare an instructor to train students to know what types of additional training they will need in order to work for the various Operators at both onsghore and offshore facilities.
• To prepare an instructor to certify personnel in PEC Basic-SafeGulf/SafeLand Orientation.
• To prepare an instructor to upgrade students training levels from awarness training to required compliance training.
• To prepare an instructor to create a mindset in each student that will help them to play an active role in the safety program at their work facility.
• To prepare an instructor to explain to each student the value of asking questions when they do not understand a certain aspect of their job.
• To prepare an instructor to ensure that each employee that has completed this course has an identification card indicating this fact.

Target Audiance:

An essential course for any employee that will be instructing and certifing personnel in the oil, gas, and petrochem industry that will consistently be working in a plant, dockside, onshore, or offshore facilities.

Prerequisites

1. A minimum of 6 months experience in the Health and Safety field either as a trainer or a member of the health and safety staff for your company.
2. At least 50% of your time as an employee for your company must have been spent providing services related to the health and safety program(s) for your company.
3. You must have successfully completed the Basic Orientation program as a student or have successfully been tested to ensure that you fully understand the information provided in the program.
4. Your company must be a Contractor Assistance Program Subscriber with PEC/Premier.
