PEC/Premier's new full-featured Advanced Training Tracker was officially
released in January of 2009. With a subscription to our Advanced Training Tracker, our customers
(Contractors) are not only able to track their PEC training, but are also able to track any and all
of their training, including
in-house custom training courses. Below are just some of the
many Advanced Training Tracker features available:
(Click on the individual bullet lines below to expand them.)
Expand/Collapse All
Custom Courses
— You can create and track any training course.
You are not limited to PEC training courses. You can create and manage your own custom training courses. This allows you to track literally any type of training or certifications your company may have, whether
in-house our outside training. You can add, edit, and delete courses as well as any training classes for
your custom courses.
Classifications
— Allow you to sub-divide your company many ways.
Classifications are a powerful feature of the Advanced Training Tracker. You can use them to categorize
your training matrix and to allow searching and reporting by specific areas of your business. There is no
limit on the number of classifications you can create or how you can use them. Classifications types include: Job, Business Unit, Cost Center, Department, Location, Work Shift, Supervisor,
At Risk, Certification, and OES Code.
Training Matrix
— Define who needs what training by classifications.
This is one of the most powerful features of the Advanced Training Tracker. You can create a training
required matrix by job type, business unit, department, location, or any of your
other defined classifications.
You can compare your training matrix to that of the Operators to see what you are lacking. The training
matrixes work hand-in-hand with the Training Needs Reports.
Training Needs Reports
— Find out who needs what training.
You can generate comprehensive reports to show you what training your employees still need to satisfy their
training requirements based on your training matrix. Each employee's training needs are determined by the sum
of all of the classifications to which they belong. For example, an employee may be required to have certain
training because of their job title, other training because of their location, and still other training because
they work offshore. You can generate reports by employees, by course, by course bundles, by exceptions, and more.
Projected Training Reports
— Find out who will need training in future.
Another powerful feature is the ability to generate training needs reports based on any date in the future. Whereas
the normal Training Needs Reports tell you who needs what training today, this feature lets you get all of the
same reports but based on a future date. This is extremely valuable when you are trying to determine whose training
will expire in 60, 90, or 180 days. This allows you to ensure there are no lapses in training or certifications.
Training Taken Reports
— Find out who has completed what training.
You can generate comprehensive reports to show you which employees have already completed training courses.
Like the Training Needs Reports, you can generate reports by employee, by course, or by course bundle.
Print Employee Badges
— You can print employee training badges.
You can print customized employee training badges that may includes your company logo, employee photo, employee ID,
PEC number, and a list of completed training on the back. By printing the PEC number, the employee badge can replace
the PEC badge. Badges can be printer to plastic cards (requires DTC550 printer) or to any photo-quality color inkjet
printer.
Operator Release
— You can release your training records to Operators.
Just like with the SSQ, you can optionally release your training records to participating Operators. This allows
the Operator to view your training history and your training matrix, potentially saving an on-site visit. You
release to each participating Operator separately. The Advanced Training Tracker release is completely separate
and distinct from the SSQ release.
Employee Management
— Easily add and manage employee records.
There is a good chance your new hire is already in our PEC database! You can easily search our entire
database for new hires and then add them to your company as an employees. This saves you having to
input most of their information. If they are not already in our database, it is easy to add them. You can
maintain all aspects of employee information, including: contact information, employee photo, employee number,
active/inactive status, and more.
Expiration Dates
— Any course can have an expiration date.
Any training course can optionally have an expiration date. Any course can be set to expire on a specific
date, in fixed number of days (say 365), or a combination of both. This feature was specifically designed
to track courses that must be repeated periodically or that require periodic refresher courses to satisfy
regulatory compliance.
Adopt PEC Courses
— Adopt on a course-by-course basis.
Choose whether your company recognizes PEC training on a course by course basis. If you adopt a PEC
training course, then all employees previous PEC training history will automatically appear in their records.
This means any PEC training your new hires have previous completed will appear in their record as soon
as you add them to your company.
Enter by Roster
— Our roster entry screen saves time.
With most other tracking systems, you must enter each student's class attendance a student at a time. With
Advanced Training Tracker, you can optionally enter an entire class (roster) at
the same time. This saves data
entry time because you do not need to repeat common data (class name, instructor, etc.)
for each student.
PEC Training is Automatic
— No need to enter PEC training courses.
You do not need to do the data entry to track any PEC training courses. Since we add all PEC training into
the same Training Tracker database when we receive the tests from our PEC instructors, you do not need to do this
step. These records will automatically appear in your employees training history
once we do our data entry.
Course Equivalents
— Accept both SafeGulf and SafeGulf Test-Out.
What if your company requires SafeGulf orientation for all offshore employees in its training matrix. But, your
company will also except a SafeGulf Test-Out for seasoned hires. You can set up a
course equivalency between
these two courses so that completing either will satisfy an employee's need for SafeGulf
orientation with regards to the training
matrix and training needs reports. You may find other uses for this feature. For example, you can make two
similar courses provided by two different training companies equivalent for training matrix purposes. Yet the
two courses are still tracked separately and can be reported on separately.
Course Bundles
— Group courses together for data entry purposes.
You can group several courses together into what we call a course bundle. Then, when entering training rosters, you
only need to select the bundle instead of each individual course. This saves time and reduces input errors.
Customer Isolation
— Each Contractor's data is completely isolated.
All the training records for each Contractor are completely isolated from all other Contractors. This
was a major concern from our Contractor customers. When an employee leaves your company, the custom training
courses that you tracked for them while with your company will not be available for other employers to see.
Web-Based
— Advanced Training Tracker is web-based.
Like our SSQ database, the Advanced Training Tracker is a web-based application and
is therefore available from any broadband Internet connected Windows PC with Internet Explorer (7 or higher).
Secure Access
— Access to the SSQ/TT system is highly secure.
Access to the Advanced Training Tracker application is via a high-security encrypted
SSL connection,
so your data is safe and secure.
Breif History — Back in 2006, based on feedback from our customers (both
Contractors and Operators) we started re-engineering our PEC training database. The result is our new
Training Tracker! We have been using Training Tracker in-house since October of 2007 to
track all PEC training conducted by all PEC authorized training providers. Today Training Tracker houses the
safety and training records of literally tens of thousands of individuals. In January of 2009, we released
the Advanced Training Tracker, which is designed specifically to address the training tracking
needs of our Contractors. The Advanced Training Tracker is a part of the larger Training Tracker
application. The Training Tracker database is housed on the same servers as our SSQ
database and integrates closely with it. For example, you can use the same user login account to access
both the SSQ and the Advanced Training Tracker.
Advanced Training Tracker is now included in a CAP
subscription. Click here to find out more.
